
- Prepare French fries. The fries may be either baked or deep fried, frozen pre-made or prepared from scratch.
- Prepare brown gravy. The best gravy is made from pan drippings, but since you’re reading a recipe on this blog, I will presume you are a lazy human being.
- Place your French fries onto a plate, into a bowl, or pile in a tray.
- Place cheese curds on French fries. Cheese curds, not shredded cheese, not cheese slices, not powdered cheese. Cheese curds. The fresher the curds, the better your poutine.
- Pour gravy over the French fries and cheese curds.
