June Action: “Boom”
With humble apologies for the previous entry, which veered into non-action sequences near the end.
. . .
June pulls upright from a low sliding drift, the side of her helmet scratched down to white from the pavement; the bike throttles forward at speed, her rapid pursuit of the helicopter overhead unhindered by the sudden flipping of the semi-truck now in flames behind her.
JUNE ACTION: “At least now I won’t keep looking over my shoulder.”
As if responding to June’s remark, the black 1975 Jaguar XJ-S ahead takes a sudden U-turn, wheels smoking up as it evens and punches forward, barrelling down head-on toward the bike. June increases her speed, making one last burn on the nitro, a final burst as she pulls the bike up to one wheel. She easily overruns the bumper and tanks up the hood, using the car as an easy ramp to move fully airborne.
Now the bike flies through the air, giving June just enough time to pull a hand-fired grenade launcher from the sidebag. One click, an almost perfect aim, and the tiny bomb spirals ahead into the rotor of the helicopter…
BOOM!
